Accidental Holiday
A guided walk and map, created by artist Lottie Child as part of Stream's Peninsula programme in collaboration with local residents, workers and children and parents at Millennium Primary School..
In an area poised for dramatic change and development, the artist worked with local collaborators to ask the question of what people need to thrive in the city. Through walks and outings on the Greenwich Peninsula and a range of classroom activities, the artist compiled a body of collaborative research.
These were documented and published as Accidental Holiday, a wildish guide to the Greenwich Peninsula. Inspired by wild things, the guide which consists of a map, walk and suggested activities, invites you to engage with the area in playful ways, which call into question the increasing homogenisation of public space.
