A film project by artist Sophie Maccorquodale in collaboration with Thamesmead residents and in partnership with Trust Thamesmead.

Commissioned to coincide with Thamesmead's 40th birthday, the artist engaged with a range of residents to explore the origins and history of this 'new town', elicit current perceptions of the area, and reflect on proposed future developments.

Her visually striking split-screen film portrays Thamesmead today through her own eyes and through the various of perspectives of those who live there.
