A film made by artist Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre, featuring residents and staff from Walpole Estate, as part of Stream's Imagine Woolwich Programme. The film was one outcome of a six-month participatory project, entitled New Year's Resolutions, undertaken by the artist on the Estate during Autumn and Winter 2006.

During the project, the artist engaged residents and staff in various activities and events, including a communal party on the Estate. She also conducted a number of in-depth interviews, exploring perceptions of Woolwich and the Walpole Estate as well as personal aspirations for the future. The images and stories gathered in The Heart reflect on cycles of decay and renewal, as they are experienced in the lives of communities and individuals and the architecture they inhabit. The film offers many perspectives on an area going through a period of transition as well as evoking the hopes and disappointments that feature in individual lives.

The Heart was launched at Woolwich Town Hall and has been shown in a number of venues in Greenwich and London.
